Economics: easy come, easy go

By Tom • Jul 18th, 2008 • Category: Thomas Gokey

Since the Creative Class project is largely about economics, I would like to point out that my oxytocin order was just slightly less than a weeks worth of wages at $8.16/hour (assuming 12 hours work/week, which is what we have agreed on [even though I didn't work very much last week {but I DID work more than 12 hours for both of the previous two weeks and have already worked more than 12 hours this week } ] ).

Such is the cost of materials. I’ve been told that the life of an artist is one that takes place amidst such materials.

Easy come, easy go.

In the course of this project I think I will still make a slight profit. I spent about $40 on test tubes and stoppers and a test tube stand (for the purposes of display). I would also like to resolve my math project which I am also working on (more on this later) which will eventually cost 30 euros to complete. We’ll see if I spend it all on materials. But I won’t spend it all in one place!
